The Austin Focus
Culture of Giving
We care about our community and it shows. The Austin Focus culture is steeped in philanthropy. We want to help our region , which is why we volunteer for local organizations. Providing both hands-on and fundraising support, we believe that giving back is the best way to thank our neighbors.
Here are a few nonprofits we’ve helped:
Central Texas Food Bank
As product recovery volunteers, we ensured all the food that was to be distributed was safe, healthy and of high quality. These food donations were then distributed to Partner Agencies of the Central Texas Food Bank for the families they serve.
Valentine’s Day Card Campaign
The Austin Focus created handmade Valentine’s Day cards for a local campaign run by Mix 94.7. Cards are distributed to children at Dell Children’s Medical Center, Safe Place, Austin’s Children’s Shelter, Center For Child Protection & Ronald McDonald House Charities of ATX & Central TX. We were honored to create cards so that children who are away from the classroom for medical reasons also receive Valentine’s Day cards and feel the love of Valentine’s Day.
Ronald McDonald House Charities
The Austin Focus bought food, prepared and served breakfast for families involved with the Ronald McDonald House Charities Central Texas. The organization provides housing and accommodations for families with hospitalized children. Supporting children in their recovery and giving families a comfortable place to stay.
Keep Austin Weird 5k
The Keep Austin Weird Festival is an untimed 5K with 10 fun stops along the way and encourages runners to wear costumes and enjoy themselves. The event was held in support of the Capital Area Food Bank. For every pass sold a $1 donated to the Capital Area Food Bank. Canned food and other nonperishable items were collected at the event to further support the cause.
Caritas of Austin
We served in the community kitchen to prepare food for those in need in our local community. Each year thousands of families and individuals who do not have a stable place to call home are helped through the programs at Caritas of Austin.
Houston Hurricane Relief
After Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, our team wanted to help out our home state of Texas. We put together a donation drive full of household items to assist with families in Houston who were affected by the hurricane.
Book Spring builds early literacy in children and families. There vision is a world of families reading and succeeding together. We helped with duties such as inventory, labeling, and logging the time, money, and people used at various locations.
Give Back Efforts
Donations to local charities are a part of our efforts here at The Austin Focus. We regularly donate clothing, fundraise, and volunteer time at local philanthropic giveback events.
We offer satisfying careers with unlimited growth potential.
